A brief history of Ion Croitoru.

Former pro wrestler born and raised in Ontario, Canada. Wrestled for WWF, New Japan Pro, Smoky Mountain, and Stampede Wrestling. Croitoru played hockey for the Kitchener Rangers. He was an accomplished weightlifter (bench pressed 625 pounds). Ran a home renovation business, worked as a used car salesman, a security guard, and most recently as a bodyguard for Lion's Gate Entertainment. He also had a brief acting career. Ion is also famous for his history of legal problems. He was president of the Hamilton, Ontario chapter of Satan's Choice, and has been convicted of assault, and drug trafficking. In 1996 to get revenge for being kicked out of a strip club, Croitoru and several friends bombed the local police station causing $133,000 in damages to the Sudbury, Ontario police station and a nearby bank and injured a police officer. He was later convicted and sentenced to
33 months in prison. After an investigation that lasted six years and cost $6 million, Croitoru was arrested in 2005 for the murder of a lawyer and her husband. Ontario Attorney General later withdrew the charges due to insufficient evidence. In 2011 Croitoru was charged with first degree murder in connection with an execution and attempted murder that took place in 2008. In 2013, he plead guilty and is currently serving five years for both drug trafficking as well as conspiracy to commit murder of rival Red Scorpions gang members.
